Synopsis

In Thomas Oberon's modern play, "The Watsons," we follow the lives of a family in the throes of significant change. As the Watson family grapples with the death of their patriarch, they must come to terms with their own mortality, relationships, and the challenges of life in a rapidly evolving world.

The play opens with the family gathered around the patriarch's deathbed. As he takes his final breaths, his wife, Emma, and their three children, Emma, Jr., Elizabeth, and Tom, struggle to process their grief. Each member of the family is dealing with their own unique challenges. Emma, Jr., the eldest, is trying to find her place in the world. Elizabeth is struggling with her faith. And Tom is dealing with the pressures of adolescence.
