Sophia Duleep Singh was a princess, suffragette, and revolutionary. She was the daughter of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last ruler of the Sikh Empire, and Bamba Müller, a German countess. Sophia was raised in England and educated at Oxford University. She became involved in the women's suffrage movement in the early 1900s and was a leading figure in the Pankhurst family's Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU).

Sophia was arrested several times for her activism and was imprisoned for her role in the window-smashing campaign of 1912. After the First World War, Sophia continued to work for women's rights and became involved in the Indian independence movement. She died in 1948 at the age of 68.
