The former Manchester City defender is back on the pitch - but this time he's kicking back

Nedum Onuoha Kicking A Football Kicking Back Nedum Onuoha

Nedum Onuoha is a man of many talents. He's a former Premier League footballer, a successful pundit, and now he's adding a new string to his bow - as a podcaster.

Onuoha's podcast, Kicking Back, is a no-holds-barred look at the world of football, with the former defender sharing his thoughts on the latest news and events.

In a recent episode, Onuoha spoke about his time at Manchester City, where he played for seven seasons. He revealed that he was often the target of racist abuse from opposition fans, and that he even considered quitting the game at one point.

"It was a really tough time for me," Onuoha said. "I was playing in front of 60,000 people every week, and there were always a few who would be shouting racist abuse at me. It really got to me after a while."

"I remember one game in particular, when I was playing against Chelsea. I was getting absolutely pelters from the Chelsea fans. I was so angry and upset that I almost walked off the pitch. But I knew that I couldn't let the racists win. I had to stay on the pitch and prove them wrong."

Onuoha eventually left Manchester City in 2012, and he went on to play for QPR, Sunderland, and Real Salt Lake. He retired from playing in 2018, and he now works as a pundit for ESPN.

Onuoha's podcast is a must-listen for any fan of football. He's a passionate and articulate speaker, and he's always willing to share his honest opinions on the latest news and events.

In a recent episode, Onuoha spoke about the Black Lives Matter movement, and the need for more diversity in football.

"The Black Lives Matter movement has been a really important moment for football," Onuoha said. "It's forced the game to confront its problems with racism, and it's started a conversation about how we can make the game more inclusive."

"I think we need to see more diversity in football at all levels. We need more black players, more black coaches, and more black people in positions of power. Only then will we be able to create a truly inclusive game."

Onuoha is a role model for many young people, and his podcast is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about football and the issues that surround it.
