Materials:

Two pieces of black cardboard, each measuring 12 inches by 12 inches
A white marker
A ruler
A compass or a pair of scissors
A pencil

Instructions:

On one of the pieces of cardboard, use the white marker and ruler to draw a square that is 10 inches by 10 inches.
On the other piece of cardboard, use the compass or scissors to draw a circle that is 10 inches in diameter.
Use the pencil to carefully cut out the square and circle.
Place the square on top of the circle, so that the corners of the square are aligned with the edges of the circle.
Hold the illusion up to your face, and look at it from a distance of about 12 inches.
You should see the illusion of a square that is also a circle!

How It Works:
